At 37.5 hours a week for 52 weeks, £15 an hour is £29,250 a year, or £2,437.50 a month. At 40 hours a week it is £31,200 a year.
How do I convert an annual salary to an hourly rate?
Divide the annual salary by 52 to get a weekly figure, then divide by your weekly hours. A £30,000 salary at 37.5 hours a week is £30,000 ÷ 52 ÷ 37.5 = £15.38 an hour.
Should I use 52 weeks or fewer?
Employees get paid holiday, so use 52 weeks to compare with a salary. If you're a freelancer or contractor who isn't paid for holidays or bank holidays, use around 46 weeks to compare fairly.
What is the National Minimum Wage in 2026?
